Our Favorite Secret

In Memorial: Our Favorite Secret 1983-2012

Secret was the most successful stallion ever at Triple Oak Farm. He won Michigan's Sire Of The Year Award seven straight times, produced countless year-end and Futurity winners and his daughters are still producing great foals. Born in Shelbyville, TN, he moved north to Triple Oak Farm at age 3 and lived there until age 18. He later moved to Hobby Horse Farms in Duluth, Minn. for the last 11 years of his life. Secret was a strikingly beautiful stallion, an easy keeper and was healthy until he took ill and passed on. Many thanks to Sally and Dale Frones for their loving care of him. He had a good long life of 29 years, but he will be missed. He was a legend in his time.

Triple Oak Farm's Carol Branam was honored as one of three 2007 recipients of the Michigan Horse Council Catalyst Award in recognition of her lifetime of service to the Michigan equine industry. This has included youth programs, judging, showing and leadership through state and national service to Tennessee Walking Horse organizations and through the MHC.
